Why should I foster?
The ASPCA estimates that each year 3-4 million pets are euthanized simply because they have exceeded their allotted time at the shelter. Due to overcrowding, shelters generally place a time frame in which each pet has to be adopted. Once that limit is reached, their time is up, literally. This is where animal rescue organizations step in – attempting to save these very adoptable pets from a deadly fate. Rescue groups often do not have a facility of their own to take all of these pets in; instead they depend on fosters to house these pets while they find their very own loving forever homes.
