Friday 13th – Make it a lucky day for an animal by adopting from a rescue centre!

Lucky Black Cat?

What better day than Friday 13th to adopt a black cat? So-called unlucky if you’re superstitious, but you can help to make any animal’s day (not just today but any day) by adopting an animal from any one of the UK’s many rescue centres!

With over-breeding gone crazy, and people giving up beloved pets to rescue centres as they can no longer afford to keep them, before buying from a pet shop (see our previous blog Animal Breeding vs Rehoming) please seriously consider adoption. Rescue centres are overwhelmed with animals needing safe forever homes. These animals are thoroughly health-checked, and rehabilitated if necessary, and homechecks are made to ensure you are matched with the right animal for your home & family circumstances.

To get you thinking, please read our previous blog Animals Needing Homes – New Hope Animal Rescue. New Hope are Comets Corners current Charity of the Month. They rescue and rehome all animals, not just dogs.
Also our previous Charities of the Month have included the DDA Watch who always have dogs needing forever homes, please read our blog Animals Needing Homes – DDA Watch March 2012, and Appledown Boarding Kennels – Rescue & rehoming.

Please visit our online pet accessories store Comets Corners for more details on how we – and you – can help! For every sale we make, at least 10% of our proceeds goes to our chosen animal welfare charity or organisation of the month!
And please, show your support for our cause by ‘Liking’ our new Facebook Page
